They restore or maintain the health of people by listening to the patient and by understanding  the problem that they face and then knowing the best way to fix. Every day they face the challenge of treating this sickness, injury, or other problems through the practice of medicine. There are many differences between the 2 but the main difference is the degree, a doctor has a MD and possibly a DO as well. A nurse could have a degree in another field and then take training to be a nurse. To be called a doctor you need to have a degree of M.B.B.S.
